The HD livestream platform DREAMSTAGE has announced A Night With Naïka, October 7 @ 9pm EDT/6pm PDT. The Miami-born, French-Haitian pop artist Naïka invites you in for an intimate evening, performing songs from her catalogue, along with a new single, due out that day, and previously unreleased material. Truly a child of the world, Naïka spent her youth living in all corners of the globe. Through her music, she has taken elements of the sounds and cultures she experienced, and with them created a sound that is both uniquely her own, but also entirely accessible. In a world fraught with divisiveness, Naïka looks to bring us together through our one common language, music.
While Naïka only emerged on the music scene in 2017, she has already earned acclaim and attention for her distinctive fusion of sounds, a sonic approach she describes simply as “world-pop.” The gifted singer-songwriter fell in love with music at an early age, absorbing inspiration from her French and Haitian heritage as well as her family’s wide-ranging travels around the globe, from Guadeloupe to Kenya, from South Africa to Vanuatu and beyond. Indeed, the influence of African, European, and Caribbean cultures has shaped her both as an artist and as a citizen of the world, evidenced by her hugely popular cover of the Haitian classic, “Papa Gèdè (Bel Gason),” as well as recent tracks like the worldwide streaming hit “Ride,” and most recent single “Sauce.”
Naïka’s two-part EP project, Lost in Paradise part I & II, released in 2020 and earlier this year respectively, earned praise from HITS Daily Double and LADYGUNN, who stated Naïka “has a unique perspective on not only music, but human experience.” While Audiofemme added, “When you listen to Naïka’s music, you’ll feel like you’re in a club on a beautiful summer night during a vacation in a foreign country...
