Washington, D.C. — The Women Songwriters Hall of Fame (WSHOF) is proud to announce its 5th Annual Induction Awards Ceremony, taking place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 4:30 PM at the prestigious Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, located at 1101 6th Street SW, Washington, D.C.
This year's ceremony honors an extraordinary group of groundbreaking women who have shaped and elevated the global music landscape. The 2025 WSHOF Inductees include: Janis Ian, Asha Puthli, Christina Susho, Janiva Magness, Vicki Peterson, Regina Belle, Melba Moore, Brenda Russell, Dr. Stacy L. Smith, Julie Giroux, and the late Sylvia Moy. These trailblazers have contributed to some of the world’s most iconic music and continue to inspire generations of artists and fans alike.
The Women Songwriters Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of female songwriters. Beyond the annual ceremony, WSHOF supports the next generation of creators through workshops, showcases, and scholarships that foster musical excellence and equity in the industry.
