Park Hills Circle, the Chicago-based music project led by Maris O'Tierney, has released its debut album, All of a Sudden, through Pravda Records. O'Tierney, who grew up in Alaska and has strong Irish roots, brings together folk-pop, indie, jazz, and classical influences to create a collection of songs about healing, resilience, and personal change. The album was recorded at Bim Bom Studios in Chicago and features guest musicians Aaron Otheim, Dustin Laurenzi, Quin Kirchner, and Matt Ulery, who help give the record its wide, cinematic feel.
All of a Sudden takes inspiration from artists like Tori Amos, Kate Bush, and other modern art-folk musicians. The album follows a winding path of personal growth, using fingerstyle guitar, layered vocals, expressive saxophone, and strong storytelling. Songs like "Company We Keep," "Clearing," "Spring is Here," and the title track show how O'Tierney combines openness with quiet strength, making the album feel personal and easy to connect with. With its emotional depth and mix of styles, Park Hills Circle’s debut marks Maris O'Tierney as a fresh and promising voice in independent music.
